MU-compliant Thesis style files
Congratulations! You're ready to write your dissertation.
But how are you supposed to keep up with all the graduate school's
requirements on style, format etc... If you are used to writing your papers in
TeX/LaTeX, then read on. Relief is just a download away.
What is available here?
These small text files contain
all the information needed by the LaTeX typesetter to format your
document in a manner consistent with the guidelines of the Graduate School.
These style files from Stefan Georghiou's PhD
thesis which he adapted from the style files provided by Stanford University. These style files are released under
the GPL license and as such are free for use. That is you may modify them in
any way you wish, but that should not be necessary since as of the time of
this writing they have twice passed the test by fire. Drs Yunong Qi and
Shashi Pathak have successfully submited their PhD Dissertations using these
same style files.
Same as above, but for the LyX word processor.
- Documentation on how
to use them
See the INSTALL file under the main directory.
- MikTex: Popular version of LaTeX for
windows-based computers.
- WinEdt: A powerful windows text editor
tailored to work with MikTeX.
- CTAN: CTAN provides the most complete and
up-to-date TeX-related software.
- LyX: A totally different breed of word
processor. Check it out, it's well worth the time. Just take the
graphical tour. The screenshots speak for themselves.
